Tranquil Times - Travel with Confidence - Summer 2022

At Tranquil Times, the safety and wellbeing of our guests and team is our highest priority. We will be waiting to welcome you to our safe, clean and comfortable Oasis.

We continue to closely monitor the Covid situation, travel restrictions and requirements for travel to Bulgaria and follow guidelines set out by the World Health Organization, European & Bulgarian Governments, amongst others.  We feel fortunate that the country has not been as badly affected by Covid as others.

Please be aware that for your safety onsite capacity is limited and flexible re-booking is available if you find yourself affected by local travel restrictions.

Although EU and UK restrictions have now been lifted and we are in a much better situation, Covid is still around and we will still be carrying our safe practices. Masks and testing are no longer required, but can be used at a persons discretion. I’m leaving last years information below for the present time.

Note: It is imperative that you check requirements for the countries you are traveling to and from as they may be subject to change!

Before you arrive:

It is your responsibility to check the current regulations of the country/ies you are travelling from, through and to. At present as of 01/06/2021, to enter Bulgaria, you will need either:

  • A negative result from a PCR Covid-19 test performed within 72 hours of entry
  • A negative antigen test performed within 48 hours of entry.
  • A positive result from a PCR or antigen test for immunity for Covid-19 for people who had the virus not more than 6 months from the date of entry.
  • A vaccination certificate for a completed vaccination course against Covid-19. This is considered valid 14 days after receiving the final dose. The document should include full name as per ID document, D.O.B., dates of administration, vaccine name and batch number, name of producer, and the vaccine certificate issuing authority and country.
After arrival:

In Bulgaria, it is obligatory to wear a mask covering nose and mouth in indoor public places (except restaurants) and transport, especially where a distance of 2 metres between people cannot be maintained. You are also required to wear a mask for your journey to and from the retreat and for excursions, unless you are coming in a car by yourself or with a family member or friend. All passengers arriving to Bulgaria by air are required to complete a passenger locator/health control form in the 48 hours before their flight. This will be checked on arrival at the airport. Whilst outside, you should maintain a physical distance of 1.5 metres from others.

During your stay with us:

Since we have our own private space, we’re able to monitor and control all aspects of your experience from cleaning and disinfection to measures for social distancing to optimising your health and wellbeing.

You are advised to at all times either to:

  • Maintain a social distance of 1.5 metres, or
  • when in an enclosed space, in transportation, or having therapies, to wear a mask.

Classes and meals are taken outside in the fresh air, or when necessary inside, with social distancing maintained and a good flow of ventilation.

There is hand sanitiser for your use in all bedrooms and communal areas at the retreat and gloves are available for those that want to use them.

We advise where possible that you bring your own yoga mat, or other equipment that you’re used to using for your practice. Otherwise we will issue you with a mat at the beginning of your stay. You must use the same yoga mat, block and strap throughout, which should be kept in your room. All equipment is disinfected thoroughly before issuing and at the end of your stay.

Additional attention is given to the daily cleaning of communal areas. This includes using approved disinfectant products and a protocol for cleaning common surfaces such as doorknobs, handles, countertops, and light switches. Bedrooms are, as always thoroughly cleaned in
between guests.

The Swimming Pool as usual is kept clean and checked daily to ensure the right level and balance of chemicals are used as recommended by the WHO.

We also carry out daily non-contact thermometer checks and ask you to inform us immediately if you present any symptoms during your stay, including fever, cough and sore throat.

Before you leave

If you are traveling by air, during your last 48 hours in Bulgaria you may need to complete another Passenger locator/Health Control Form for your onward journey (as above). If you need to organise another PCR test, you are fully responsible for the transport and test costs. PCR Tests are currently about 115 leva/59 Euros. Antigen tests are 45 leva/23 Euros.

On your return home or travel to another country:

Depending on what country you are traveling to, you may be required to self-isolate on your arrival there. Please check for up-to-date information on the official government website for the country you are traveling to.
