BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Accommodation

We have 2 twins with en-suites and 2 double rooms with a shared bathroom available. We also have a double sofa bed in the lounge for groups who already know each other. For couples, one of the twin ensuites can be turned into a room with a king size bed. All places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Accommodation price is based on two sharing a room, unless you have booked a private room. A single supplement of £200 per week will be added if you request a room to yourself and will be detailed on our invoice to you. You may have a double room or one of the twins depending on availability.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING THE PANDEMIC, YOU SHOULD ONLY BOOK A SHARED ROOM IF YOU ARE COMING WITH SOMEONE YOU KNOW, LIKE A CLOSE FRIEND OR FAMILY. SADLY, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO SHARE WITH A STRANGER AT THIS PRESENT TIME.

For non-participating partners or anyone not wishing to partake in activity sessions, the weekly price is £100 less.

Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of £200 per person is required to reserve your place on one of our retreats. Please note that this amount may vary if booking via one of our advertisers websites and will include processing of your payment.

A booking is not accepted until we receive cleared funds.

Bookings can be accepted up until the date of departure, if we have spaces available. In this situation, immediate payment in full is required on arrival.

Final payment

The remaining payment is due 8 weeks before departure or cash on arrival.

If final payments are not received when due, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation and accept new reservations for your space.

Payment Methods

Payment can be made direct to our UK business bank account by bank transfer.

OR via our multi-currency Wise account – Recommended for any international payments as this service costs way less than typical bank transfers and PayPal. Payments can be made via your bank card or by transfer from your bank account.

Details can be forwarded to you after filling in your completed questionnaire.

Cancellations

Notification of cancellation of the holiday must be given by email to the following address: jo.tranquil.times@gmail.co.uk

Failure to do so immediately may prejudice your entitlement to claim a refund. No refunds can be made once participants are in their place of destination

If you cancel: (a) More than eight weeks before departure your deposit is forfeited. (b)Between six and eight weeks before departure, 50% of the holiday cost is retained (c)Less than six weeks before departure, 100% of holiday fee retained. In many cases, cancellation fees are covered by insurance.

DURING PANDEMIC TIMES, IF DUE TO TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS, BOOKINGS CAN BE RESCHEDULED FOR ANOTHER TIME IN THE FUTURE AND THE ABOVE PARAGRAPH WILL NOT APPLY.

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your holiday, a full refund of any money paid to us will be given. This does not include airfares. We would never cancel your holiday because of low booking numbers.


Descriptions

All information included on our website is correct to the best of our knowledge, at the time of going to press. If, however, due to situations outside our control such as staff cancellations and/or illness, weather conditions, maintenance work, mechanical faults or other, some amenities or courses described may become temporarily or permanently unavailable. We will, however, always endeavor to find speedy solutions to any problems that may arise.

We reserve the right to make any changes to our program with regard to courses or facilitators. Alternative arrangements are offered to the best of our ability but, if not taken up, we do not accept responsibility for any costs incurred, including airfares.

Whilst you will have plenty of ‘tranquil times’ at our retreat, you must be aware that we are situated in an authentic rural village and will therefore experience some typical village noise from time to time. This includes animal noise, tractors, machinery and even the locals partying. Neighbors going about their day-to-day activities is not within our control.

Liabilities

We recommend that you have your own travel insurance in case of any problems. EHIC cards should be carried by European residents.

We do NOT accept liability for any costs incurred as a result of any of the following: Cancellations, delays or changes caused by war, threat of war, closure of airports, terrorism, civil strife, industrial action, natural disaster, pandemics, technical problems with transport, or other events beyond our control including those mentioned in the preceding paragraph;

participant’s medical or psychiatric conditions which may develop during or subsequent to the holiday. If you have had any major physical or emotional illness or disorder within the past 5 years, or are under medical or psychiatric supervision, you must notify us of the details at the time of booking and, where appropriate, enclose a doctor’s certificate of fitness to travel. Non-disclosure of relevant information can invalidate your insurance and cancel our contractual obligation to you.

loss of, or damage to, personal property of participants. While every effort is made to ensure the safety of our guests, any excursions or activities including transportation are undertaken at your own risk. We expect you to take reasonable care for your own safety on and off the retreat premises.

We are not travel agents or flight carriers and therefore do not take responsibility for flight arrangements, delays or cancellations, or any costs incurred due to delay or cancellation of these flights, or loss of/damage to baggage. We cannot refund airfares.

Parents who bring children onto the premises are wholly responsible for them and their safety.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

After booking, we will send you a general questionnaire to fill in, in order to help us assess your needs and also a Participant Disclaimer to sign on arrival at the retreat.

No contract shall exist until:

The Online Booking Form (via our website or our advertisers sites) is submitted and acknowledged, AND

The appropriate deposit is paid, or if the booking is made within 8 weeks of the departure date, the full amount is paid AND

a confirmation invoice has been issued.
